In order to stimulate communication and cooperation between various European training and research institutes the Netherlands Institute of Government (NIG), the Dutch national doctorate and research school of administrative and political sciences has build this website. The website gathers and provides extensive information about the many PhD training programmes in European countries.

This database on PhD programs is developed in cooperation with the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP) at Lausanne and the European Group of Public Administration) at Brussels.
